Hi Everyone
My name is Bruce Hong, and I was the original producer for Ian Crewe's late night show. I have been in London since March '99 and have therefore been missing out on 702. I have recenctly found out that his show is no longer there ... and sadly disappointe d. I am the strange guy who came up with some weird ideas for his show, as well as some of his guests. One of my favourite (Americans please note the spelling) interviews was Ian's chat to Beau Brummel, truly a classic. I am also the one who unleashed the Parktown Prawn paperweight in 702land - if you are interested in one - please let me know, and I'll make them on my return from London.

Dear Ian
I hope you don't mind, but I think you broadcast to many insomniacs like me. I have a Gay son who I love to bits, and I really enjoy your barbed chat. I have learned many things about myself in the process of getting to know a little more about the very d emanding life style you all lead.
Warmest love

Hi! Just popped into have a look, I love your web page. Since coming back to Canada in April I have missed listening to 702. I am now stuck with CBC, I used to enjoy it very much but it has gone downhill since I left here in 1995 and lived in your b eautiful country and listened to your lovely radio 702 until the end of March.

Miss you, miss you. LOL Irene

Ian, when is the chat lounge coming back? I am sick of listening to Jennie's reruns - once a day is QUITE ENOUGH.
Unlike some of your other Comment Guests, I DO like JQ's
Talk at Nine - it's great. But your show was such a
pleasant, light relief after JQ and I miss it. It was bad
enough losing your Monday & Friday shows, which were far too short, anyway, but now it seems there are none at all. What's happening, and why do the powers that be just cut your shows without warning? I don't understand it. Perhaps you'd be so kind as to explain it to me?

I have just read the notice board.....
I do hope the program managers also read it,
We have just come back from a game farm and could
only listen to more and more re-runs!!!....:(

i have listened to you for a long time and never realised that you might have a whopping mass of grey hair after seeing you and thabo in the studio. however you are the best late night and JQ should move on to radio 2000 to piss them off for a while

Hi there Ian,
I am an ardent listener of your programme. I really do agree that these repeats of 702's are really getting to me!
I love to listen to you guys (and Annie of course!) but I have to admit that I have been very nervous to phone in, in case I get the boot, and then I would be mortified and would never be able to listen again! Try and make outsiders feel a little bit mor e welcome. (just a suggestion of course!) Oh by the way, I really love Lily too, and I wish we could here more of her!
Keep up the good word anyway, and please get them to stop the repeats!
Love from
Colleen

Hi Ian and "chatloungers"
My husband and myself always catch the chat lounge - it is nice to listen to instead of the usual political C$@*!!p that the other hosts are (no doubt) required to do.
It's entertaining and I often lie awake listening to you and your callers when I come home from work.

Thanks - Go well.

Just browsed the web pages of Ian Crewe.
Quite impressive and nice job.
I also read the comments, and someone complained that only 2 people signs it.
If you listen to the show, you will understand why - only about 2 callers are calling every night. (Annie and the giggling gay school boy)
Both are interesting for a while, but the show becomes monotonous.
Other callers are quickly pushed off the air, creating the impression that you don't like people interrupting your private caucus.
Maybe the host is also a bit too cynical, and personally a bit too Barry Rounge-ish for my liking.

Thats just a couple of my impressions - probably unjustified too because the show has been on the air for ages, but hey- Ian's got a nice smooth voice, and I'm not always in the mood for Barry White...

I love your show but can't seem to stay up that late.
I think, I am certain that 702 needs a NEW STATION MANAGER - Where the hell did they find her? I'm sorry but she has the most irritating voice and 702 is NOT WHAT IT WAS LIKE with Alan (hi Alan). But.... 702 don't LISTEN TO THEIR LISTENERS do they?

Are the powers that be scared of you taking over the station. I reckon that that late at night is a waste of your talents. The 09h00-12h00 slot would suite me better.
BUT I suppose the mother gundies would have a fit!!!!!

Thoroughly enjoy your programme Mr Crewe. It is such
a pity that your programme isn't on during the day.

Keep up the good work and may we enjoy many more years
of your programme.
